The Philadelphia Eagles will play against the New York Giants this Sunday-their biggest game of the season, but there are health problems with key players. After ruling out wide receiver Kevin Curtis, defensive end Victor Abiamiri and backup cornerback/special teams player Dimitri Patterson from playing this Sunday, the Giants have starting running back Brian Westbrook questionable for the game.
Westbrook suffered a concussion in last Monday’s victory over the Washington Redskins and had not practiced all week. A good sign is that he was on the field Friday with his teammates and seemed in good spirits. But according to Coach Andy Reid, the team is still waiting to get more tests back and a decision won’t be made until game day.
LeSean McCoy is considered to be the replacement to Westbrook if the starter could not play. The second-round draft pick from Pitt started his first game wearing Eagles jersey while the team was playing against the Kansas City Chiefs and gained 84 yards on 20 carries.
