Texans WR Johnson bruised chest in win over 49ers

The Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson unfortunately bruised his chest in the team’s 24-21 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. He had to leave the field and was taken to hospital to be examined.

Coach Gary Kubiak said the team was concerned as the receiver could not play through the end. Johnson was shaken up on a play in the fourth quarter, but he remained on the field on his hands and knees for a few minutes before walking to the sideline.

A few minutes later, however, he returned to field for one play in his Texans jersey. The team eventually held him out of the next series. Then the receiver was escorted off the field after talking with Houston’s medical staff for several minutes.
