The New York Jets kicker Jay Feely is a free agent after turning down an offer from the Jets, who turns to sign former Dallas Cowboys kicker Nick Folk. But now Feely renewed his opinion and said that he is not giving up on the possibility to wear back Jets jersey and compete with Folk for starting job.
"I appreciate all the support from the Jets fans," Feely wrote today on his Twitter account. "I have truly enjoyed being a Jet and my sincere wish is to be one till the end of my career."
Feely also indicated that there has been a discussion between him and the Jets and the team needs to be prudent so they signed Folk. He understands that perhaps because he is also so prudent that he chose to become a free agent. He is open to returning to Jets just as he is open to joining any other team who offers a better deal.
