More injuries added to Bills already banged-up defense

In Sunday’s 6-3 loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Buffalo Bills may lose another two linebackers Kawika Mitchell and Marcus Buggs as the two were hurt in the game and had to be carted off the field. Thus the already banged-up Bills defense was further depleted.

The Bills played the game without starting safeties Donte Whitner and Bryan Scott. But the injuries just seemed to be endless. Starting right tackle Jonathan Scott hurt his ankle in the third quarter and did not return and defensive end Kenyon Coleman hurt his groin and did not return, too. As Mitchell was carted off the field with right knee being hurt and Buggs was carted off with injury on left leg, the Bills had to finish the game with only one experienced healthy linebacker starter Keith Ellison.

Mitchell was bowled over by two player in Browns jersey when he was trying to tackle Jerome Harrison. After lying on the field for several minutes, he found himself unable to put any weight on his right leg and was lifted onto the cart. Buggs hurt his left leg while covering on a punt return and was carted off soon after, leaving Jon Corto finishing the game in his place.
