Football fans were told Tuesday that they will put on their favorite NFL jerseys earlier to watch Nov. 1 games, which are to be held a few hours earlier than schedule, because there will possibly a World Series game in Philadelphia that night. The Giants-Eagles game will start at 1 p.m. EST and the Minnesota-Green Bay will start at 4:15 EST.
If the Philadelphia Phillies reach the World Series, they will host the Game 4 at 8 p.m. that day. And in order to ease the burden on city and employees who work at the two Philadelphia stadiums and shared parking lots, the NFL decided to move the football game earlier before they are told whether there will be a World Series game in the city.
Phillies will have to beat the Rockies on Monday night to make the NFL championship series. And the NFL said they modify the game schedules beforehand to give fans sufficient notice and time for preparation.
