Sunday’s Raiders-Eagles game to be blacked out

Failing to sell out 72 hours before kickoff, the Oakland Raiders’ third home game this season on Sunday will be blacked out locally in a 75-mile radius. And it is the Raiders’ second blacked-out home game.

Even if the game is against the Eagles, who have a controversial quarterback Michael Vick play on Sunday. As it has been reported that animal rights group will protest against Vick before the game, I guess the game is not going to be dull.

The Raiders is a team with good records of blackouts. They have had two games blacked out each season since taking over ticket sales from Alameda County before the 2006 season. And before that, it was even worse- they sold out only 25 of 88 regular-season games in time to avoid blackouts during their first 11 seasons in Los Angeles.
