WR Cribbs should be on top of Browns’ retaining list

Although the Cleveland Browns currently need to do a lot of decisions about roster such as whether to keep Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson as the team’s starting quarterback, they should take the deal for kick returner/wide receiver Josh Cribbs the most important thing of all.

According to Jason La Canfora of NFL.com, both sides have made “significant progress” and, although there hasn’t been a set deadline, a new deal should be in place at some point this offseason. The problem is huge sums of money is rarely paid to a kick returner. So Cribbs should get prepared for being paid as a kick returner before he is proved to be a good wide receiver and deserves more money.

I believe the Browns will find it worth the money they invest in Cribbs if they manage to keep the versatile player in Browns jersey. Giving him time and chances, he will be able to develop into something special on offense.
