Boldin: No easy leave from Arizona

The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin still has to struggle for some days with the Cardinals as his contract situation remains in flux. To leave or not to leave, that is not really up to his choice.

Boldin’s current contract with the Cardinals will expire at the end of the 2010 season. So the team will make a decision to have a trade of the receiver, to extend the contract or simply keep Boldin with the team through the end of the contract before 2010 season. However, none of the three choices could be easy one.

First of all, a contract extension is most unlikely as Boldin has been feuding with the Cardinals’ front office for years; and to trade him will weaken the Cardinals’ passing game especially after quarterback Kurt Warner retired, and even if they are willing to have a trade, the price they desire could be unacceptable to the other team. So by so far, remaining in Cardinals jersey for 2010 season wins over all the other two possibilities. Boldin may have to wait till the end of his current contract.
