Cardinals WR Boldin is trying best to be healthy for Sunday game

The Arizona Cardinals have not made their decision on whether to have wide receiver Anquan Boldin play against the Green Bay Packers for this Sunday’s wild-card game. Missing another practice Friday because of a left high ankle sprain, though, the receiver himself hopes to be available for the game.

Boldin said doctors have been at his house at night “poking and prodding” and he’s had acupuncture treatments. “I’m doing everything within my power to make sure I’m on the field Sunday,” Boldin said. “If I’m not able to go, trust me, it won’t be anything I didn’t do.”

Boldin was hurt in last Sunday’s 33-7 loss to the Packers while staying in the game to help struggling backup quarterback Matt Leinart after most of other starters in Cardinals jerseys were pulled by Coach Ken Whisenhunt earlier. With a career checkered with injuries, the three-time Pro Bowl receiver has already had the experience of playing without practicing the previous week, so it is still worthy expecting what the Cardinals’ final decision might be.
